How it works
- Choose Invoice, Quote or Receipt at the top of the editor.
- Add your business details and logo once — they are remembered for next time.
- Enter your client, the line items, and any discount, tax or shipping.
- Pick a currency and number format. Totals are calculated to the exact cent.
- Click “Download PDF” and choose “Save as PDF” in the print dialog, then email it with the copied summary.
Built for freelancers and small businesses
Invoiceferry covers the whole paperwork loop for a small business: send a quote, turn it into an invoice when the work is approved, and hand over a receipt when you get paid. Each document type uses the right wording — “Valid until” on a quote, “Balance due” on an invoice, “Amount paid” on a receipt — and keeps its own numbering sequence (INV-, QUO-, RCT-).
It works with any currency and formats numbers and dates the way your client expects: 1,234.56 in the US, 1.234,56 in Germany, ¥1,235 with no decimals in Japan, or three decimals for Kuwaiti dinar.
Your data stays on your device
There is no server behind the editor. Your business details, clients and documents are stored in your browser’s local storage, and the PDF is produced by your own browser’s print function. Nothing you type is uploaded. The flip side: if you clear your browser data, the documents go with it — use More → Export backup every now and then.
Free vs Pro
The free version has everything you need to send a good invoice: all three document types, your logo, any currency, discounts, tax, shipping and partial payments, plus your three most recent documents. A small “Created with Invoiceferry” line appears at the bottom of the PDF.
Pro removes that line and the ads, unlocks the Bold and Minimal templates, and adds unlimited searchable history with draft/sent/paid/overdue status, saved clients, a saved items catalogue, one-click duplicate, quote-to-invoice conversion and CSV export for bookkeeping.
Frequently asked questions
Is Invoiceferry really free?
Yes. Creating, downloading and printing invoices, quotes and receipts is free with no sign-up and no limit on how many PDFs you make. Pro is optional and adds extra templates, unlimited history and time-savers like saved clients.
Do you store my invoices or client details?
No. The editor runs entirely in your browser and saves to your browser’s local storage. We never receive your documents, clients or business details.
How do I save the invoice as a PDF?
Click “Download PDF”. Your browser’s print dialog opens with only the invoice on the page — choose “Save as PDF” (or “Microsoft Print to PDF” on some Windows setups) as the destination.
Can I use my own currency?
Yes. Every ISO 4217 currency is supported, from USD and EUR to KES, NGN, INR, JPY and KWD. Amounts use the right number of decimals for the currency.
Will my invoice meet the legal requirements in my country?
Invoiceferry gives you the fields most invoices need (numbers, dates, tax IDs, tax lines), but rules differ by country and region. Check what your tax authority requires — for example, mandatory wording or registration numbers — and add it to the document.
