How to use this cleaning invoice
- Choose whether to bill per visit (quantity = visits) or per hour (quantity = hours).
- Add one-off extras like ovens, windows or carpets as separate lines.
- Add supplies if you charge for them.
- Write the visit dates in the notes so the client can check them.
- Download the PDF or copy the summary and send it straight from your phone.
Per visit or per hour?
Regular domestic cleans are often billed per visit at a fixed price, which customers find easy to budget. Commercial and one-off deep cleans are often billed per hour or per square metre/foot. Either works in the editor: the quantity can be visits, hours or area, and the description says which.
Monthly invoices for regular clients
Instead of an invoice after every visit, many cleaners send one invoice per month listing the number of visits. Put the dates in the notes. With Pro, save each client and your standard services, then duplicate last month’s invoice and update the quantity.
Frequently asked questions
Can I make the invoice on my phone after the job?
Yes. The editor works in mobile browsers; switch to Preview to check it, then share or print to PDF, or use “Copy summary” to send a text message or email.
How do I charge a cancellation fee?
Add a line such as “Late cancellation fee — 12 May” with the amount, and state your cancellation policy in the Terms.
Can I give a regular-customer discount?
Yes. Enter a percentage or a fixed amount in the Discount field; it is shown as a separate line before tax.
Do I need to add tax to a cleaning invoice?
It depends on whether you are registered for VAT, GST or sales tax where you work. If you are not, leave tax set to “No tax”.
