Privacy policy
Last updated: 2026-10-30
Short version: your invoices, quotes, receipts, clients and business details stay on your device. Invoiceferry has no user accounts and no database of your documents.
Data stored in your browser (localStorage)
The editor saves your current draft, your saved documents, saved clients and items, your business profile (including your logo) and your settings in your browser’s localStorage under keys beginning with tb_. This data is not sent to us. It stays until you delete it, clear your browser data, or remove it with your browser’s site settings. Backups you export are files on your device; we never receive them.
If you activate Pro, your license key and the date it was last checked are also stored in localStorage.
License checks
When you activate Pro, and about once a week afterwards, your browser sends your license key to Lemon Squeezy (api.lemonsqueezy.com) to confirm it is valid. No document data is sent. Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record under their own privacy policy.
Advertising and cookies
Free pages may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, which may be based on your visits to this and other websites. You can learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, and opt out of some third-party vendors at aboutads.info. Where required (for example in the EEA, UK and Switzerland), you will be asked for consent through a consent message before personalised ads are shown. Pro users do not see ads and no ad scripts are loaded for them.
Ads are never placed inside the editor and the ad scripts cannot read your documents: your data is not part of the page sent to any server.
Analytics
We may use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics (such as Plausible) or Google Analytics to count page views. These tools do not receive the content of your documents. If Google Analytics is used, it may set cookies; you can block them in your browser.
Server logs
Our hosting provider may keep standard request logs (IP address, browser type, page requested) for security and reliability, for a limited period.
Your choices
